Technique Study Group: Saturday 7th March 2026

The Technique Study Group is an opportunity that is only available to members of The LXO and is an unique experience to discuss, develop, explore and share techniques with fellow osteopaths.

About the day:

Please come prepared with 2 to 3 techniques that you'd like to share, develop and discuss. You may want to consider how you've used it, how you've adapted it, how you've made it work, how it has helped your patients etc.

This is not a teaching session, but a study group, where everyone's experience, insights, approaches and perspectives are valued, explored and developed so that you leave with a richer osteopathic understanding and application. 

Time: 9.30am - 4.00pm

Venue: Alma Osteopathic Practice, Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Professional Development

The Technique Study Group will be eligible for CPD. Of the 90 hours you are required to do over three years, 45 hours have to be learning with others.

'For CPD to be defined as ‘learning with others’, it must also involve interaction (both giving and receiving information to inform learning) with osteopaths, healthcare practitioners or other professionals.' (GOsC)

You will receive a certificate of learning with others for your records and by attending the Technique Study Group in person or online you will most likely cover some or all of the following Osteopathic Standards: 

B1.1, 1.2, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 1.12.1, 1.12.3

B3.1

C1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6
