You may have noticed a change in our name. We have now become

'The Osteopathic Academy of Applied Technique'.

Email and website addresses remain the same as before for the moment as we gradually make the transition to become an Academy. However, you can already find us at theosteopathicacademyofappliedtechnique.com

Our new name better reflects our business as an educational community providing professional development for postgraduate osteopaths on technique, covering everything from Principles to Practice; honouring the Osteopathic Principles and Advancing their Application.

NEW for 2026: 

We are introducing a Technique Study Group that is available to members of The LXO as part of their membership and is an unique experience to discuss, develop, explore and share techniques with fellow osteopaths. This follows the long tradition of osteopathic study groups going back to the early days of osteopathy with many greats of the profession starting out as members of these groups. 

The study group will be a hybrid of face to face and online sessions throughout the year. Check the LXO community for more details.

Professional Development

You will receive a certificate of learning with others for your records and by attending the Technique Study Group in person or online you will be covering the General Osteopathic Standards for those of you in the UK. 

We hope this will be a great addition for everyone to learn together and look forward to seeing you at as many study groups as possible.

Cadaveric Anatomy and Cervical Spine Technique Course

Pilates made Practical for Osteopaths

Date: 21st March 2026 - AVAILABLE TO BOOK NOW

Venue: Casa Hotel, Chesterfield

A practical, introductory course designed exclusively for osteopaths who want to build confidence prescribing safe, targeted movement for common presentations.

This face to face 1 day course shows osteopaths how targeted Pilates-based movement can extend treatment results and help patients move better. You’ll learn simple ways to adapt and modify exercises for different clinical needs, giving you practical tools to improve mobility, control, and functional outcomes in everyday practice.
